# Warden Token Terminal

> A trading terminal for any token on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain. Agents use it over
> MCP at https://tokens.wardenprotocol.org/mcp: market data needs no account; trading acts for a wallet whose
> owner has connected the agent, within limits enforced on the server.

The web app at https://tokens.wardenprotocol.org renders in the browser, so its pages carry little text
without JavaScript. Everything an agent can do there it can do through the MCP server.

## Start here

- [MCP instructions](https://tokens.wardenprotocol.org/mcp): the server address (Streamable HTTP), sign-in, keys and setup for each client. A plain GET returns this sheet as markdown; MCP traffic to the same address reaches the server.
- [Agent skill](https://tokens.wardenprotocol.org/agents/SKILL.md): the same instructions as an installable skill.
- [MCP server card](https://tokens.wardenprotocol.org/.well-known/mcp.json): machine-readable server metadata.
- [OAuth protected resource](https://tokens.wardenprotocol.org/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp): sign-in discovery per the MCP authorization spec (OAuth 2.1, PKCE S256, dynamic client registration).

## Getting access

1. Connect without a credential and call the market tools: `list_chains`, `search_tokens`, `trending_tokens`, `price_history`, `quote_swap`.
2. For a wallet, either sign in with OAuth (apps such as Claude and ChatGPT do this on their own) or send `Authorization: Bearer <key>`, where the key starts with `wk_` and is minted by the wallet's owner under Portfolio → Agent access. Keep it in the `WARDEN_TOKEN` environment variable.
3. Call `agent_permissions` to learn what the key may do and the limits that apply. Permissions, daily budgets and hands-free sessions are granted by the wallet's owner and enforced on the server.

## Tools

- `list_chains` (needs nothing): Chains Warden supports, with each chain’s native coin, dollar stable and gasless support.
- `price_history` (needs nothing): Candles (open, high, low, close, volume) for a token, and how far it sits from its recent high and low.
- `search_tokens` (needs nothing): Find tokens by name, ticker or address.
- `trending_tokens` (needs nothing): Trending, new or top tokens on a chain.
- `quote_swap` (needs nothing): Price a swap without committing to it.
- `get_wallet` (needs key): The wallet the key belongs to and every token it holds on every chain, with USD values.
- `agent_permissions` (needs key): What the key may do, whether a session is open, budget left.
- `prepare_swap` (needs key + “Prepare swaps”): Build a swap for the person to sign. Never broadcasts.
- `execute_swap` (needs key + open session): Sign and send a swap from the wallet with nobody present. Native coin, gasless and cross-chain included.
- `request_session` (needs key): Ask the person to turn on hands-free trading: returns a link they approve with one tap.
- `session_request_status` (needs key): Whether the person approved a request_session yet.
- `swap_status` (needs nothing): Where a gasless (relayed) or cross-chain (bridged) trade stands.
